Huh? Who call my name?!!

While Jesse and I were in the ER with David night before last, we were lucky enough to be next door to a man who had a little gas problem.....and wasn't modest about it!!

We were sitting in silence when....

PPHHHhhhhtt!!!....huh?

We died!!! Who does that? Who passes gas and then says, huh? Apparently this guy.

10 minutes later.....

Herrrrrrrrrph!!!....Who call my name?!!!

Rolling on the hospital bed trying not to snort!!!! That's a line I'll definitely use in the future. Too funny!!

Warning: Spoiler alert!! Halloween costume preview!!

That's my little David boy dressed as....well David!! He's dressed as David the shepherd boy version. He'll also be toting a stuffed lion which he killed with his bare hands of course. And you can't forget the slingshot.....man! So many crafty things to do!! I love it!!! If you haven't ever made one of your kids' costumes, I highly recommend trying. It's so much more special to see them wear something that you constructed rather than an overpriced store-bought number. (Although they are cute too!)

I swear this boy smiles CONSTANTLY!!! I love him!!!

And here's my spunky little Eve Rene. No, she's not a woodland fairy, rather she is "Eve", the first woman. Although this costume may not be completely historically accurate, it's a good combination of fig leaf covering and girly girl cuteness. Notice the pomegranate detailing ;o) I just love tutu's, so any excuse to get her into one is good for me!! Oh, and I also made her a pomegranate candy bag out of left over red and green felt from last year's strawberry costume.

Here's a little review of the past two years of Halloween fun!

Eve and I at the 2007 Harvest Party. Eve is Dorothy and I am Glenda from the Wizard of Oz. I made my crown and wand and also Eve's pigtail headband. I always have to add something handmade into the mix or else costumes just aren't as fun!

Harvest Party 2008- We went with a "Harvest" theme. Farmer Jesse with his "crop". Eve made the most precious little strawberry ever!! I hand made both of our costumes which was super fun (and cheap). I used a t-shirt sleeve from my costume to make her strawberry had as well as "Yeow's" (Eve's kitty cat) matching costume. Can't forget Yeowser!! (his other name).
Yeowser in the flesh
And you can't forget the appearances made my Senator John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin. They took first place in the adult costume category. Together of course.

Just sayin' hi

Hey guys, I've been away for a while. Fell down the stairs, yada yada yada. No excuse, right? haha. Well, I was just working on Eve's Halloween costume after taking some pain meds. I might post pics soon! Anyway, it's late and my weary flu-fighting prego body can't take no more!!

Yes, that was bad grammar. Don't you love it?? I'm clearly delirious.

Goodnight.

My healthy little rosebud

So everything looks healthy with baby Sarah. Thanks for all of the prayers! We still have to get an echo of her heart which is standard procedure when single umbilical artery is diagnosed, but the doctor doesn't forsee anything showing up. So, with that said, we are still dealing with single umbilical artery, but it's unlikely that it will cause any complications. There is a tiny risk of growth restriction toward the end of the pregnancy which could lead to an early induction and possibly a premature baby, but I'm not counting on it. My babies like to be well done ;o)

Here are a few of the pictures from today. Isn't she beautiful?!!

After that depressing post....

I'm going to have a good day today! I'm going to be thankful for everything God had given me. I don't really know why we have gone through the financial hardships of the last year and a half, but somehow we've made it. I have two beautiful children who make me laugh every day. I have a great supportive family.

I am choosing to surround myself by good, positive people who know how to pray hard and play hard. (Yeah, that sounds a bit cheesy, but I need friends who can pray and make me laugh). So thank you to everyone who has been supportive and helped me remain positive through all of this. Again, Jesse has a job interview at the end of the month and hopefully other opportunities will present themselves as well.

Oh, and for all my friends out there, if you are looking for a good time, or even a chaotic time (the later is probably most likely due to children), please give me call. I'll come over to your house and make cookies! I can't promise they will be homemade, but I hear Pillsbury makes a pretty good cookie!! Ok, bye bye now ;o)

Sigh

It's Saturday night and I'm sitting downstairs alone. Can't sleep. I hate it when my mind is going 100 mph and I can't bring myself to sleep!! It's mostly because I'm under so much stress right now and I can't bring myself to think about any single thing so instead my mind is a jumble of about 25 things at any given time.....and that's not very productive or conducive to sanity.

Here are a few of the things going through my mind right now:
1. Worried about baby Sarah and single umbilical artery syndrome. Google it...it takes too long to explain.
2. Still waiting for Jesse to get a full-time job with health insurance.
3. I'm behind on my dissertation.
4. I have not begun to think about applying for internship.
5. I have two kids who need me 24/7.
6. I'm insecure.
7. I say stupid things ALL the time.
8. I struggle with depression....yes, I'm pretty sure I always will.
9. I'm tired all the time from this pregnancy.
10. I feel like no one understands me completely. I'd just like one good friend aside from my husband who knows me inside and out....and yes, I know God does, but that's different. He has to.

Man! Wasn't that enough to make you feel a bit depressed?? I bet I'll read this in the morning and wonder what I was thinking. I'm finally feeling a little more sleepy. Maybe getting all those things out helped somewhat.
